I have spyware problems and it causes IE to have popups come all over the screen...how do i fix this

I have windows antispayware and avg antivirus they seem to find the problems but dont delete them, i have windows 2000 so i cant system restore, is there a way to remove IE from my computer and just use mozilla...would that even get rid of all the popups?

Get Spybot and Adaware and run them download the Google or the Yahoo bar these have popup blockers I run spyware blaster too

You should have three anti spy ware programs.

Spybot and AdAware scan for and remove spyware. Run them both about once a week. Get them both free here - http://www.download.com
I had a problem similar to this and, unfortunately, the only thing that fixed the problem was reinstalling windows and starting from scratch. Good Luck!
Yes, go to %26gt;--- Click ---%26gt; Start ---%26gt; scroll up (set Program access and defaults) Go to Custom, change your browser to Mozilla (remove access from IE) there.

Also go to ADD/Remove Windows componets (Remove IE)

Yes, Firefox will get rid of your popups but you need a Good virus scan (online) as well as a good spyware scan as suggested before me.

Since you're using windows 2000, you'll probably need to get the current version of GDI+ in order to install it.

get winpatrol. that program is like a supercharged processes window with commentary and info so youll be able to find out which spyware is installed on your computer. then you can disable and delete it. The symptom you have sounds a lot like GAIN or some other ad server program that is programmed to connect to an ad server every few seconds and deliver advertizements. also get a firewall program to prevent that stuff from happening in the future

i recommand you to try firefox.

it can block that annoying ads and disable any virus on webpage. as you know, most virus are spread through internet.

firefox is much smaller than IE, so it run faster than IE.
