a simple little javascript command (that few people use!) is dependent on the way the browser designers decide to do it!
There is no standard for placement... You can get a lot better compatibility with AJAX (the domscripting part) techniques.
Cool sites pop 'windows 'right in the middle of the main page...
I use jquery(a javascript library) to do this type thing, so can you!
