IE's security settings are too high. Under Tools Internet Options, lower your settings.

OR, do yourself a big favour and switch to Firefox.

First Try Changing your homepage as they said. If it still doesn't go away-

Download spybot-search and destroy or/and Lavasoft's Ad Aware SE from www.download.com. Those will definitely remove the stuff. The stuff is called Adware, it usually displays popup ads of porn or spywares. These entered your pc because u entered into some disreputable site before( not always porn) . Spybot-Search and destroy is the best softwares for this. You'll be amazed how much crap had filled ur pc. Spybot'll remove those crap. Be sure to update Spybot and scan. There are many other softwares, but Spybot is really good and completely free. Ad-Aware SE (Also comes as part of Google Pack) is free and Good too

Always be sure if the site is safe from the site http://www.siteadvisor.com/analysis/ or downloading McAfee site adviser for Internet Explorer.

open IE, goto Menu Tools -%26gt; Internet Options. Under the General heading, change ur homepage address.

the adult site must be the current entry there. modify it to anything u want. u can enter "about:blank" to open a blank page everytime.

also install some anti-spyware software ( u can get it if u install yahoo toolbar! from http://toolbar.yahoo.com/ ). It safer to check for spyware just in case.

and maybe switch to a different browser like firefox.
First, run an anti-spyware and anti-adware program. For good free ones use spybot and ad-aware. Once that's done, open IE, click tools, then internet options. Under homepage, type in the address of the webpage you want to see when IE opens (i.e. www.yahoo.com). This should take care of it.

There is a despicable trend that is becoming more and more common wherein the browser settings of web surfers are being hijacked forcibly by malicious web sites and software which modifies your default start and search pages.

Sometimes internet shortcuts will be added to your favorites folder without asking you. The purpose of this is force you to visit a web site of the hijacker's choice so that they artificially can inflate their web site's traffic for higher advertising revenues.

In some cases, these changes are reversible simply by going into internet options and switching them back. Not always, however. Sometimes it's necessary to edit the windows registry (gasp!) to undo the changes made. Sometimes there is even a combination of registry setting and files clandestinely placed on your hard drive that redo your settings every time you reboot the computer.

No matter how often you change your settings back, they are changed again the next time you restart. There have even been cases where internet options have been removed from the tools menu by registry hacking to prevent you from controlling your own computer!

Any of the products below will remove most hijackers completely, unless it is one which has just started spreading.

No (you can't even know if IE is installed on the system).
There is a Mozilla Add-on that allows you to view a page in IE. However, there is no way for the developer to make the person's computer open a particular browser.
Which browser opens is up to the user, not the site.
