How do I get my comp to automatic go to IE,?

after login to peoplepc, which is my interbnet provider, I then must go to my "DeskTop" and pull up IE by "clicking right side of mouse" and "opening IE...

I've only had this problem for a short time, I believe the trouble started when my friend next door tired to get my computer back up, what he did, i do not know, and I don't want to ask him, because he was only trying to help..

Isn/t there a way I can check something somewhere to see whats missing?

okay im not sure if i understood your question but i believe your asking where your shortcut for IE went so you can have easy access to the internet . If that is it there are several ways to fix that one is to go to your start menue look under your programs and locate IE then click and drag it to your desktop and let it go it should convert it to a shortcut for easy acces. Now if for some reason your IE dosent appear in the start menu go to mycomputer then click on your C: drive click on your programs folder then find the Internet Explorer folder open that up and right click IE and select send to desktop that should make a shorcut .hope this helps if i answered incorrectly just send an email and clarify for me
