as someone has already suggested, you should reinstall windows.
This is something I have done countless times since I started using computers, so if it is the first time for you... well, you are welcome, trust me it won't be the last.
However, if for some reason you are stuck with this install and IE just won't work, then you can try installing Google's version of Firefox from here http://www.sleekbytes.com/picasa-google....
and even Opera from http://www.opera.com
they are both free and will happily run without any need to uninstall explorer.
Good luck.

Hmmm the old thing i can think of is System Restore... Start--%26gt;All Programs--%26gt;Accessiories---%26gt;System or something else.. then---%26gt; System Restore... not on windows... so i forgot exactly the name on it.. but u'll get it. Good Luck!
If System Restore/Restore Point doesn't do it you may have to get a pro to do it for you. However, have you tries copying whatever error message you may get into Google? If not do it now %26amp; see what advice is given.
If its ONLY that I.E. isnt working, you could download another browser (eg Firefox) %26amp; use that.
DONT EVER USE on-line cleaners/AV/ whatever UNLESS you are sure that they are operated by one of the pukka companies like Symantec or Sophos. Most of them actually screw your system up .
don't buy a any software, if your computer is prompting you to buy something, its a virus that someone put there, go to your control panel -%26gt; performance and maintenance-%26gt; system restore and select a previous date before the problem occured.
Stop messing around with free registry cleaners. The best thing to do is reformat your hard drive and reinstall windows. If it's not validated you might have a problem anyway. Also use only one antivirus and make sure it also covers spyware. Avg seems to be recommended by many people, I can't think why but it is free.
Other solutions: use Mozilla Firefox or go to your local library and use a computer for free 鈥?you can at most libraries but you may have to book.
