Why preview in Frontpage is different from view IE?

I am creating some webpages; however, I noticed that the page preview I got from frontpage 2000 is different from my view from IE 6.0. Supposedly they should explain my html the same way. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Frontpage is at the end of the day a web development package.

Its not the best on the market, but it sure isnt the worst.

WYSIWYG doesnt exist. Thats the first thing you need to learn. No matter what anyone says to you, there is nothing that works as such. There are numerous articles relating to such. Just search them.

What IE shows is also vastly different to what the majority of other browsers show so bare this in mind also.

I guess I really shouldnt be answering this tonight but what the heck. Create your page in frontpage, then take a peek at how css would create the same effect. For example.. a table with 100% width and three cells that cover that width.

Make one div that is 33% wide and float to the left and put in the left hand column data. Make a second div area 33% wide and float to the right and put in the info you wish to appear on the right of the page. Lastly add the information you want to appear in the center of the page and it will be there.

If you want any help with this, just ask the question here and someone else or myself will help you further just do not ever think that wysiwyg is ever a truthfull accronym. It never is.

Before you hear someone tell you to use Dreamweaver, think to yourself... I need to know 'WHY' these things happen. People who use dreamweaver are as ignorant and uninformed to what goes on in the web development world as a newbie.

Learn the language, learn WHY things are done certain ways, learn css, learn how to lay out a page without tables, learn how to produce any style or look of page with clean code. Thats the way to produce a good webpage.
